There are two terminals in Venice airport, with a free shuttle that runs between the terminals, the docks and various car parks.

Venice Marco Polo International Airport at Tessera, on the mainland just north of Venice, is a 20-minute road trip from the city's Piazzale Roma. Two different bus routes are available, from Venice airport into town, and both are inexpensive: The Blue Bus, which is slightly faster, and bus number 5.

One also has option of taking the waterbus from Venice airport into town. It takes about an hour for both, and you'll arrive at the San Marco quay in the centre of Venice town.

The Lido, the Piazza San Marco, and other locations in the historic centre are easy to reach via the Alilaguna airport boat from Venice airport.

There is a long-stay car park (Park 7), some distance from the new terminal; a shuttle service is available.
