The Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg Regional Airport is situated 12 km (approximately 9 miles) from downtown Basel, to the North West of the city. Basel airport is situated in a triangle formed by Switzerland, France and Germany.
A taxi from Basel airport to Basel downtown costs CHF40 and the journey takes around 15 minutes. Taxi stands are located in front of Basel Airport Arrivals Hall, both on the French and Swiss side.
Basel airport – dubbed EuroAirport – is actually in French territory 5km north of the city, shared between Basel (Switzerland), Mulhouse (France) and Freiburg (Germany). A bus runs every twenty minutes, connecting Basel airport and Basel station. This runs from 05:00 to midnight, daily, and takes about 15 minutes.

The south multi-storey car park S1 is on the Swiss side; S1 and S2 are in the immediate vicinity of the airport building. Another public car park on the Swiss side of Basel airport is S3, which is used for long-term parking.
