Milan city centre can be reached in less than 50 minutes from Milan Malpensa airport, with a reliable, fast train system and with direct access to main roads. The fastest way to cover the distance is via Malpensa Express train, which connects Terminal 1 of Milan Malpensa airport with the centre of Milan (Cadorna Station) in 40 minutes. If you land at Malpensa Terminal 2, courtesy buses can ferry you to the airport train station.
Bus services run from Milan Malpensa terminal departures area and travel to various locations in and around Milan. The Malpensa Shuttle departs every 20 minutes to Milan Central Station from 06:20 to midnight and the journey lasts around an hour. There is also a bus service to Milan Gallarate Station which runs every 20 minutes between 05:35 to 19:50 and another shuttle bus that connects Milan's Malpensa and Linate airports at regular intervals throughout the day.
Milan Malpensa airport facilities include a bureau de change service, 24-hour cash machines (ATM's) and banking facilities.
A selection of restaurants, cafes and bars are available for passengers to enjoy, as is a shopping centre with many large shops. These include a pharmacy, a beauty salon, and duty-free shops.
One can hire a car from Milan Malpensa airport, from one of the many hire companies present. The airport has direct access to the A8, A26 and a new road is planned linking the A4 Milan-Turin highway to Milan's western ring road. The journey into Milan by car should take around 45 to 50 minutes, although this can be longer at peak times.
Malpensa airport has both short and long-term parking available. Terminal 1 has a multi-level garage next to the terminal and long term parking nearby. Terminal 2 has a 3,000 space car park near the terminal.
